Events and Activities

The GOLDEN APRICOT Yerevan International Film Festival is pleased to announce the Call for Applications for Directors Across Borders (DAB) 2007 program.

We are getting positive feedback and the increasing interest from the region, USA and Europe for DAB activities. Last year during the 3rd Golden Apricot IFF DAB activities proved to be an important part of the Festival and laid the groundwork for regional cooperation in filmmaking.

Every year DAB program has a particular angle of interest. The 2007 DAB program is entitled the Regional Co-Production Forum (DAB RCPF). It addresses producers/directors who seek support for project development to present it to the international production/co-production market.

At 2007 DAB RCPF filmmakers and producers will get acquainted with a wide network of professionals - directors, producers, representatives of festivals and film funds, sales agents, distributors and broadcasters – who can give “market triggered” advice and support to their projects.

The Forum will be held on 10-12 July, 2007 and will consist of workshops, pitching sessions, one-to-one meetings and a film program.

The organizers of DAB RCPF are glad to inform that this year selected projects will be provided with project development grants.

Please find below DAB 2007 call for application and the entry form.

Deadline for submissions is May 20.

Feel free contacting us if you have questions.

Good luck!

On a rural estate live three brothers, a sister, and their blind, religious mother. Three of the siblings have epilepsy, the fourth and eldest, Augusto does not, and he's about to break away from the family: he's in love with Lucia and planning to move to the city. Augusto's sister Guilia tries to frustrate the lovers, while another brother, Alessandro, hatches a far-reaching plot to free himself of his mother's demands and other family responsibilities, to give Augusto the wherewithal to leave with Lucia, and, perhaps, to pursue incestuous impulses with his sister.
