Poet and philosopher Jivany is one of the renowned personalities of the Armenian culture of 19-20th centuries. His power lies in his clear thinking, philosophic outlook, desire to bequeath irreproachably the coming day to the generations and in the idea to be freed from complexities and formalities. He opposes at the same time the culture and himself with a great sense of humor, sarcasm.
The film is about modern Armenia seen through Jivany’s eyes and shot under a critical glance. The film is the documentary study of the modern life and documents the creation of Jivany’s monument, transportation of his monument from Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, to Javakhk – Jinvany’s birthplace, the “impressions” of the filming crew on the way to Javakhk and installation of the monument. Thus, the main hero of the film is not a human being but a monument, travelling is the most beloved and natural environment for film and unpredictability of development of film plot – these are the main principles of the director’s conception which make the film seem fresh and are responsible for its dramatic composition.

Augusto's sister Guilia tries to frustrate the lovers, while another brother, Alessandro, hatches a far-reaching plot to free himself of his mother's demands and other family responsibilities, to give Augusto the wherewithal to leave with Lucia, and, perhaps, to pursue incestuous impulses with his sister.
